I am happy to say that my Christmas decorating is complete! I just need to talk Husband into putting up more lights outside...
I have been busy wrapping gifts, making ornaments, and making a few gifts.
Here are a couple of tags that will adorn some special gifts this Christmas.
I inked the tags by pressing my Distress Ink pad onto my non-stick craft mat, then spritzing with water. This creates a puddle of color. I then drug my tag through the puddle until I achieved the colors and layers that I wanted. (Tim Holtz has step-by-step instructions on his blog for this.)
For this first tag, I also stamped a large frame stamp from Glitz Design on the background. Then I added a sheet music scrap, some lace, and a stamped ticket. The snowflake embellishment is from K&Co. I added a "merry" banner and tied a golden bell to the top.
For this next tag, I used two colors of Distress Ink to create the background: Fired Brick and Pine Needles. Then I layered on my scraps of burlap and patterned paper and adhered a few vintage buttons.
The tags looks aged and antiqued, to match the rest of my Christmas decor.
Wow! Gorgeous tags, Erica!
