Christmas Mittens
Each year, I make a batch of ornaments for all the good girls and boys on my list. I made this mitten ornament last year, and she was the inspiration for this year's set.
I add each child's name and the year on the ornaments. I'm hoping that when they're older, they'll have a set of ornaments to decorate their own tree. I have many ornaments that I received as a child that adorn my tree every year, and I love them.
It seems like these white mittens are everywhere this year. You can search online for a pattern and make your own out of felt. I added paper, lace, buttons, and beads for embellishments. The centerpiece is an image from Lisa's Altered Art that I printed onto fabric, cut out, and stitched onto the mitten. When I was finished embellishing the front, I stitched the front and back pieces together.
And here is this year's batch of ornaments for the kids. I kept the embellishments a little simpler since I had so many to make.
