Blossom and Grow
See - I told you I started cutting Webster's paper.
I created this project for Webster's Pages April Challenge, which was Spring Decor, and I recently won a blog prize from them for National Scrapbooking Day, which is a set of their ribbons and trims! Now I have more Webster's to add to my growing collection.
I made this hanging using half a sheet of Life's Portrait "Light the Way" and half a sheet of "Imagine Your Life." The chipboard shape came in my Anthologies' April kit. I first covered it with the "Light Your Way" paper. Then I fussy cut the bird and flowers from the "Imagine Your Life" paper and adhered it using pop-dots for added dimention.
I added Stickles here and there for added sparkle. I cut out a Hambly transparency frame to highlight the birdcage on the paper.
I added a gorgeous Prima Tres Jolie flower cluster, Say it in Pearls flourish, and butterfly, and Webster's alphas for the title. A Prima butterfly pebble and a few rhinestones finish off the piece. I tied a long piece of vintage pink seam binding for the hanger and topped it off with a sewing tissue ruffle.

Erica,
I love this! I have that paper with the bird on it. Bought it at Anthologies of course. I'll make a deal with you. I'll teach you my stuff if you teach me yours. For instance. I love all of the goodies they sell at the shop, like stickles. I have gobs of it, but don't know what to do with it. I tried putting some onto art & it just looked like a mess. Did I not put enough? I need someone to show me how to use those cool products. I can't wait to actually meet you face to face. Tell Maureen I said Hi! Lisa
This is so beautiful! I love the way you cut the Webster's (even though I know it was painful to do it!) It is absolutely gorgeous!!
What a beautiful piece! So happy to have found your blog!!!!
Just love this! And thanks, I was trying to go an entire month without buying anything on the computer...
Just had to check out your bingo cards. Then somehow the seam binding ended up going with it!
