Thank You Cards

Do you send thank you cards? It's becoming one of those things that people don't do anymore. My mother taught me to send thank you cards when someone gives you a gift for a special occasion - like graduation, your wedding, baby shower, etc. But I don't think that's even enough. What about your neighbor who picked up your mail for a week while you were on vacation? Or your friend who watched your kids all day so you could have some quiet time for yourself?

A little thank you goes a long way. And that just happens to be the theme of the opening round of Paper Crafts' Gallery Idol 2010! Have you entered? Get over there and check out the rules and submit your entries.

But first, check out a couple of new cards that I'm submitting.

This first card uses some scraps of papers from Prima, Making Memories, DCWV, Jenni Bowlin, and 7 Gypsies. The alphas are Webster's Pages and My Little Shoebox. I stamped all over the main background paper with Distress Ink and a swirly stamp from Little Yellow Bicycle.

I added UTEE and Diamond Stickles to the butterfly and then stitched a few circles around it to make it stand out even more.

This next card uses papers and alphas from Basic Grey. I've had this "Sultry" paper collection for a while and haven't done anything with it. So, I grabbed a few sheets and just started cutting.

I added a "pile" of Prima flowers and various rhinestone centers to the bottom of the card.

Get busy creating and get your submissions in before the May 24 deadline!
