Spring Blooms

We spent a weekend outdoors, admiring the beautiful spring blossoms. On Saturday we went to the Azalea Trails in Tyler, TX. I was pleasantly surprised to see the tail end of the dogwoods blooming, too.

We are always so impressed at the perfectly manicured lawns and gardens. I would love to be surrounded by this beauty.

On Sunday, we visited the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, including the Japanese Garden. Many of the spring blooms were done, and the summer flowers haven't kicked in yet, but it was still a beautiful day.

There were dozens of turtles swimming in the pond, and many of them warming up in the sun.

I love Japanese maples. We purchased one at the garden center for the backyard oasis I'm putting together this spring.

We enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the gardens. Next time, we'll bring a picnic!
