Think Spring
We have definitely had our share of April showers, but I can't complain after the drought we had last year. Everything is green and blooming right now, and it looks beautiful.
Here is a spring card I had published in the recent March issue of Cards magazine.
I used papers from Sassafras, The Paper Studio, and The Girls Paperie, some old trim, and Thickers to create this card.
And because we were thinking spring, we spent another day at another local garden. We headed out to Weatherford, TX to visit Chandor Gardens. It was a nice drive and a beautiful garden.
The home was built in the early 1930s. It took the owner 16 years to create the gardens.
They include several fountains, ponds,
and two waterfalls.
Then their heirs left the place vacant and abandoned for nearly 20 years.
Then a new owner brought everything back to its grandeur and opened the gardens to the public.
You can also rent the house and gardens for events and weddings. Wouldn't a bride look beautiful posing with this fountain, or in front of the waterfall, or by the butterfly garden...

Thank you for the walk through of the gardens too! So pretty there :)
Congratulations on your pub, Erica! What a beautiful and happy card. Love the butterflies and love the alpha sticker sentiment work. Fab!
And what a beautiful garden you visited. Cannot believe anyone would let that place abandoned for all those years. Thank goodness someone snatched it up that appreciates it. :)
