This week's challenge at Tag Tuesday is Valentines. I made a few Valentine tags using my card scraps. I added embellishments from my stash: lace, ribbon, ruffled crepe paper, Hambly rub-ons, foam and fabric hearts...
doilies, pom pom trim, Valentine embellishments... ...and lots of love went into each one. Labels: Tag Tuesday, Valentine Wednesday, October 20, 2010Trick or Treat Tags
This week's challenge at Tag Tuesday is to use orange and black on your tag. I made these Halloween tags to attach to gifts. They were super easy and turned out pretty cute.
Here is a closeup of a couple of them. I started with a black cardstock tag. I stitched an orange crepe paper ruffle and added it to the tag base, then stitched on some black satin ribbon. I added a sentiment made with my Dymo label maker and attached a glittery spider or ghost. A matching ribbon finishing each one. This week's Tag Tuesday challenge is to use a calendar. I was inspired by the golden shades in this Paris paper to create a tag for the fading of summer into fall. We've also had some cooler temperatures here in TX, so I have fall on the brain.
For my tag base, I used the patterned Paris paper and then adhered the calendar, which I tore from my mini calendar above my desk. I added the gold clock charm to signify time, and to cover the "2010" on my calendar. It looked like a little pocket watch, so I added the gold chain. I typed the sentiment on my old typewriter and added the vintage velvet ribbon hanger. It's that time of year again, and I've already been busy making holiday decorations and gifts. I'll have so much to share - as soon as I can get some of them completed! Labels: autumn, fall, Paris, Tag Tuesday Saturday, August 7, 2010Vintage Fashionista Tag
This week's challenge at Tag Tuesday was to use a mannequin template for your tag. I stuck with the sewing theme for the elements of my tag.
I started with cutting the mannequin template from a piece of GCD Studios Homespun Chic paper (one of my favorite collections EVER). I used some of the pattern tissue that came with this little cutie and adhered it on the side, then added some stitching. I adhered the pattern girl, a little posy, and a pattern tissue ruffle at the bottom. Pink seam binding is threaded through a hole at the top. I made the title on my old typewriter and she was complete. Labels: sewing pattern, Tag Tuesday |
