What Do You Get...
...when you cross a WWII B-17 bomber and a scrapbooker's husband? A mini book all about his adventure, of course!
I love making mini books. They are pretty quick to make, and if you stick to a single theme and style, come together fairly easily. I created this grungy mini book for my husband to commemorate his recent ride in a restored WWII B-17. He had a blast!
I used a mini album that I already had, then added crackle paint and embellishments to the cover. I made little "danglies" to hang from the rings. I distressed and inked each page, then added some stamping, distressed cardboard and chipboard, and random embellishments throughout.
He loved it, and now has something special to remember his trip.

Take a look at some of the inside pages:

I left some blank areas so he can add journaling later. (He looked at me like - what the heck is "journaling"?)

LOVE this! What a beautiful memento for your hubby!
That is perfect!! What a thrilling adventure!
This is cool! I loved the flight and then my lovely Zunky Chic wife made this for me. I have it sitting on my desk at work and my co-workers always come by and look at it.
Erica, you amaze me. I love this little book and I am sure your Husband will treasure it always.
Absolutely love this, what airfield is this plane on?
How wonderful he got to take a flight in this. This Liberty Belle is one of the lucky ones to survive WWII. Thousands were not so lucky, like The "Sharon Belle".
