Shrinky Dink Jewelry
This past weekend, I attended the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington, TX. I was slightly disappointed at the reduced number of vendors from the last time I went. I also didn't find as many good deals as in years past.
One new discovery to me was Darcie's. I purchased some acrylic charm pieces that I hope to use soon to make jewelry. They had a free make and take that I completed, using their printable shrinky dink paper.
When I got home, I added the beads and a vintage chain for a funky necklace. They sell the paper and image CDs so you can have an entire collection of little charms and ornaments.

It is sad to hear how much all the scrapbooking companies are struggling these days......I know a lot don't even go to CHA anymore. :(
But hope you had fun at the convention anyway. This necklace you made is so cool! Such a fun and unique piece. Love the vintage findings you added.
Hello!
Love the project you are teaching. So wishing I had spare time to make a quick trip down to TX to take in your class. Sigh... Love your shrinky dink art too. I have been contemplating giving it a try for the last three years or so. Some day I promise myself to actually get it accomplished.
Looks like your travel season is off to a fun start. Wishing I had my own travel season! Have a great week,
Kate
