Valentine ATCs
I'm participating in a Valentine ATC swap, so I got busy in my craft room with the beautiful Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments and Place in Time collections.
Here are the ATCs I created.
They all follow the same design layout, but each is unique.
I used the adorable images from the Graphic 45 papers.
I layered the images on vintage sheet music and other pretty papers.
It was a great way to use up some scraps.
And each got an ample does of glitter!

Spring ATC swap
I recently traded ATCs with Kimberly of artJOYstuff as part of her 52 weeks, 52 artists, 52 trades.
Here is the ATC that I made for Kimberly:
I used a variety of background papers and textures to create a pastel, spring theme. Then I made a paper rosette from a vintage book page and added a glittered butterfly and the little bird stamp. I typed Spring on my vintage typewriter.
This is the stunning ATC Kimberly sent to me:
The velvet flowers are so fabulous!
Thanks for a beautiful swap, Kimberly!

Believe ATC
Another project published in the recent Create: Vintage magazine. I made this ATC using a variety of scraps and an image from a vintage postcard.
I added glittered butterfly wings and paper hats to turn her into a fairy. The frame stamps are from Recollections.

Potions and Spells
When I was making my witchy gothic arches, I used a leftover image to make an ATC.
I used some paper scraps for the background, and gave her sparkly jewelry. I added a piece of bling and a title made on my old typewriter.

Goodbye to Summer
Even though it's not officially over, summer always seems to end with the start of a new school year. Here is one last summer project I created using one of my favorite vintage photos.
I made an ATC using vintage textured wallpaper that I painted, natural colored Maya Road trim, and some sea treasures. (I have no idea where/when the photo was actually taken, but reminiscing about Cape Cod is a perfect summer activity.)

Valentine ATCs Received
Back on this post, I shared the ATCs I made for artJOYstuff's Valentine ATC swap. Here are the ATCs that I received.
Unfortunately, this little cupid is not signed, so I do not know who made it.
This sparkling beauty was made by Sylvia at Little Treasures.
This one is from Geralyn Gray.
And this pink beauty is from Dorthe Hansen.
Lastly, this beautiful ATC is from our swap hostess, Kimberly.
I had so much fun creating for this swap. I'm off to display my new ATCs! Labels: artJOYstuff, ATC, swap
Valentine ATC
I made another Valentine ATC while I was waiting for my swap ATCs to arrive.
I made the heart using paperclay. I flattened the clay and cut out a heart. Then I stamped on the heart while it was still wet and set it overnight to dry.
Once dry, I inked the heart before adhering it to the background, which I created with patterned paper, scrap of trim, and stitching.
Then I added a button and baker's twine to the heart. I'm out of paperclay now, but have more ideas and want to use some cookie cutters with it.

Valentine ATCs
I'm participating in artJOYstuff's Valentine ATC swap. These are the ATCs I made:
I used an old letter for the background and stitched on some lace. Then I added wings to a sweet little girl so I had a cherub. A ruffle of sheet music, old tatted trim, dresden heart, and a typed sentiment complete my ATC. Labels: ATC, Valentine
Daydreams
I had some scraps laying on my table, so I put together an ATC. I used a watercolor background and then added a stamped image and Perfect Pearls. I was disappointed that the Pearls didn't really bring out the stamped image like embossing powder would have. But, they did give it a nice shimmer. I layered a vintage image with a stamped banner, butterflies, and a felt bird.

A little of this and that
Here are a few things I made when I was getting bored at a crop. I'm not the type that can sit and craft for hours, so when I got bored with the project I was working on, I switched to a few little projects to pass the time.
I made this tag with scraps from other projects, including old sheet music, ephemera, and a scalloped oval punched from a watercolor experiment. I added the pattern girl and a Jenni Bowlin banner sticker. A piece of lace to match the girl's dress finished the tag.
Next, I made an ATC with a bird image and more scraps. I was pleasantly surprised to find the little scrap of sheet music with the perfect phrasing for this little bird. I made her a flower nest to rest in.
I made a card using a printed mini file folder, more scraps, and another pattern girl. Again, I found the perfect text for the card.

Always Kiss Me Goodnight
Another challenge I entered at Bella Creations was to use the provided image on any project. Since the image was relatively small, I made an ATC.
I started with a white cardstock base and inked the edges to match the yellow moon. Then I layered on purple paper to match the flowers and patterened paper for interest.
I added some Stickles to the lady's flowers and made the title on my old typewriter. A little lace and yellow flower finish her off.
I've had fun crafting with the Bella's and I hope to complete a few more challenges this month. There is still plenty of time to join in! Labels: ATC, Bella Creations, vintage image

Day 21 of the Countdown to Christmas! Here is the box I made with a bling-afied vintage Christmas seal:
And the sparkly box I received from Amy Harrett:
Back on this post, I shared the Christmas song ATCs I made for a swap. I have received all the gorgeous ATCs, so here they are.
This one is from Diana. Her song choice was "Silver Bells." Can't you just hear "city sidewalks, busy sidewalks..." as you look at that beautiful vintage image? Love it!
This next one is from Julie. Her Christmas tree is so festive and fun! What a great color combination.
Debbie made this one for "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town." So cute and festive!
Kristin selected "Noel" for her song choice. The angels are so beautiful, and so is all that lovely lace!
And Toni made this ATC. She chose the same song I did ("There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays")! You can't tell in this photo, but the entire ATC is sparkly and shimmery. She painted such a lovely background for that adorable house for the holidays.
Thanks ladies! I love them all! Labels: A Swap for All Seasons, altered matchbox, ATC, Christmas

Day 4 of the Countdown to Christmas. Here is the matchbox I made:
I'm also doing a Christmas Song ATC swap. I LOVE Christmas music, and don't listen to only at Christmas time. One of my favorite songs is Perry Como's "There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays." I was inspired by this adorable paper from October Afternoon.
I cut the little houses from the paper and glued them to sheet music covered cardstock. Then I typed the song title on my old typewriter, cut it out, and glued it on. I used my Marvy Snow Marker to make "puffy" snow on all the rooftops, then added Diamond Stickles for sparkle.
I made an extra one for myself and added two eyelets at the top with a string to hang on my Christmas tree. Labels: altered matchbox, ATC, Christmas
Miss Kitty ATC
I finally finished making all my ATCs for a swap. "Vintage animals" was my last group. Here is the ATC I created. I cut "Miss Kitty" from a vintage image and layered her on some lace and patterned paper.
I typed the title on my old typewriter and added a few little posies and glitter to make her sparkle. Labels: ATC
Butterfly ATCs
I'm participating (and hosting) an ATC swap. One of the categories I signed up for is Butterflies. Here are "The Queen" ATCs I made.
I used vintage book paper for the background and used some pages from a vintage butterflies book. The butterfly queen stamp is from Prima. I stamped it using Staz On ink and then used watercolor paints to color the image. I added some Stickles for added sparkle.
I cut her out and adhered the queen using pop-dots for added dimension and adhered a few Martha Stewart butterfly punches here and there.
One set down, two more to go... Labels: ATC, butterfly, Prima
